Charles D. "Chuck" Lurey (COL)
I am still in the army -- been a colonel for 6 years. Looks like
general is not in the cards. Its amazing I got this far as I still have
not learned to keep the old mouth shut. Anyway, I hit thirty years in
May of 2000 and then have mandatory retirement. I am assigned to the
Defense Intelligence Agency.
I have a 23-year-old daughter who graduated Boston University in 97 and has been working in Boston since. I also have a 21-year-old son who is going to a local community college and will transfer to UVA, VA Tech or James Madison next fall (he told me he would go to beautician school before the Citadel). My 17-year-old son is a HS junior (maybe a CID candidate). My wife Rosemary and I will celebrate 27 years of bliss in June. She's a 2nd grade teacher and loves it.
UPDATE: I am now working for the US Navy. Pure civilian life was more than I could stand. Great experience and I am getting to do pretty much the same thing I did in the Army
